Rx Bandz awarded Military Contract to develop TXA auto-injector

Hemorrhaging accounts for 30-40% of trauma deaths. Rx Bandz innovative auto-injector technology will allow for TXA to be quickly delivered via a user friendly auto-injector that does not require specialized medical training. Currently TXA is delivered via IV.


Rx Bandz Founder and CEO Jessica Walsh stated that "Inadequate hemorrhage control in initial treatment is considered to be the leading cause of potentially preventable deaths. We are thrilled to have the opportunity to be developing a technology that can save those lives and bring our soldiers home."


Approximately 90% of combat-related deaths occur prior to a casualty reaching a medical treatment facility. Rx Bandz auto-injector can be easily carried and is designed to withstand the rigors of a combat environment

The team at Rx Bandz has created technology that also intuitive which is important since most trauma care interventions were for hemorrhage control, 26% of which were applied by non-medical personnel.

Rx Bandz is planning for future applications for their TXA auto-injector to be used by 1st responders and EMS system around the world. Their TXA auto-injector will be used to stop non compressible hemorrhages which is the #1 preventable maternal death. In addition to the 70M people with Traumatic Brain Injury in the world with intracranial hemorrhage.
